Permanent Skin Remodeling and Non-Surgical Facelift

Airgent is a novel skin remodeling system that has been used in Europe since 2007 and was approved by Health Canada in 2008.

Airgent treatments improve the appearance of scars, wrinkles, stretch marks and sagging of the skin. Airgent treatments are especially useful to improve the appearance of acne scars, fine wrinkling of the cheeks, upper lip lines (“smoker’s lines”) and sagging of the jawline (jowls).

A new technique we have introduced using the Airgent machine is the non-surgical face lift. This improves forehead lines, nasolabial folds and the contour of the jawline, lifting the corners of the mouth and diminishing “jowls”. This technology works with the natural healing mechanisms of the skin to stimulate the fibroblast skin cells to produce new collagen and elastin, the protein responsible for maintaining elasticity of the skin.

The machine functions as a fancy “air gun” that delivers droplets of solution into the dermal layer of skin under pressure. This raises a temporary raised area of the skin that subsides over a few minutes leaving only small red entry points. These disappear after a few days and can be easily covered with makeup.
